Description
Hi
the Baofeng has the following firmware
Type: UV-5R TP
NSR3401
BFP3-25
in the version 0.4.0 download from the device is working fine.
but when I try to upload the same data I got the error " Unsupported firmware version : NSR3401BFP3-25 "
in the daily version (31.12.2014) the communication to the device is not working
Hopefully you know any solution for this problem....

Dirk,
It is currently not a good idea to use the v0.4.0 or v0.4.1 stable build with a Baofeng/Pofung radio (with maybe the exception of the UV-B5 and UV-B6). So upgrade to the latest daily build as soon as you can.
The UV-5R TP is a new model with 3 power levels. This puts it in a class with the BF-F8HP, BF-F9V2+ and the GT-3TP. These radios all use the BF-F8HP model selection, which also requires the latest daily build.
If you have other UV-5R variant Baofeng radios, do not try to directly upload an image obtained from an older radio with BFB or BFS firmware into a new radio with the new N5R firmware (the opposite is also the case). Instead use the CHIRP Import feature (change the file mask to "CHIRP Radio Images (*.img)" to import the channels. You will have to manually configure the settings which is very simple to do by having the data files from both radios loaded into separate tabs in CHIRP. Just toggle between the 2 tabs to quickly compare the settings.
